Spherion hires SVP for outsourcing

Spherion Corp. said it has created the position of senior vice president of strategy and professional services for Spherion Outsourcing, the company's Atlanta-based outsourcing services provider.

The company said Diane Shelgren will create a long-term outsourcing strategy for Spherion, including business alliances and acquisitions. She will report to Peter Bourke, president of Spherion Outsourcing.

Prior to joining Spherion, Shelgren held outsourcing and HR-related positions at privately held, New York-based consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers; Irvine, Calif.-based outsourcing company Exult (Nasdaq: EXLT) and Murray Hill, N.J.-based credit report company Dun & Bradstreet Information Services.
