Strategic Outsourcing Trends to Be Examined by Top Companies At Conference Board Meeting

The Conference Board's 2002 Strategic Outsourcing Conference will be held June 26-27 at the Grand Hyatt New York. The meeting is sponsored by Spherion and is presented with assistance from Booz Allen Hamilton, the Outsourcing Center and Unisys.

"The size of the U.S. outsourcing market has more than tripled since 1996," says Abby Moskow, Conference Program Director. "Outsourcing has become a key business strategy. Its concept and function have evolved dramatically during this time as organizations have realized benefits that extend well beyond cost savings to enhanced capabilities, improved service, and increased customer satisfaction. This meeting will examine the critical issues and challenges involved in each phase of the outsourcing process."

Lisa Gelman, Senior Research Associate, The Conference Board, will open the meeting with an examination of the current state of outsourcing and its future direction.

"Uncovering Hidden Forces to Maximize Business Value in Outsourcing" will be addressed by Peter Bourke, President, Spherion Outsourcing.

"The Strategic Use of Business Process Outsourcing" will be examined by Hae Han, Vice President, Business Process Outsourcing, Unisys Global Outsourcing, Tom Dunning, Practice Director, Remittance Processing System, Unisys Global Outsourcing, and Michael Davisanager, Health Information Management, Unisys Global Outsourcing.

"Quantifying the Effectiveness of Your Outsourcing Relationship" will be explored by Peter Bendor-Samuel, President and CEO, Everest Group/Outsourcing Center, and Jake Farkas, Director, Trinity Industries.

"How the Right Outsourcing Partnership Can Turn Customer Interactions into Revenue Opportunities" will be discussed by Bill Parker, President, Customer Development Solutions, Spherion Outsourcing Group, and Alan Winters, Senior Vice President, Sprint PCS.

"Profits or Perils? The Bottom Line on Outsourcing" will be addressed by Vinay Couto, Vice President, Booz Allen Hamilton and Frank Galioto, Principal, Booz Allen Hamilton.
