HandsOn ventures acquires consulting group

HandsOn Ventures, a Santa Monica, California-based venture capital company, announced that it has acquired Savant Consulting Group, a leading information technology (IT) services firm. Savant ranked 4th among all U.S.-based software companies in the 6th annual Entrepreneur/Dun & Bradstreet "Hot 100" list of fastest-growing entrepreneurial businesses.

The acquisition of Savant continues a series of milestones for HandsOn Ventures (HOV) since its inception in 2001 to capitalize on the rising demand for outsourced business processes and value investing opportunities in the IT and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sectors.

In June 2001, HOV launched Digital Boardwalk, Inc., a developer of software applications. In September 2001, HOV acquired Codec Communications, Ltd., a Pune, India-based IT Services firm. In June 2002, HOV launched NetOps B.V., a Netherlands-based provider of outsourced network management services.
