BCS Global Networks Acquires IPConvergence

BCS Global Networks Inc., the performance and reliability leader in business quality videoconferencing, today announced the acquisition of IPConvergence Inc. IPConvergence (IPC) is a Canadian-based communications services company specializing in the delivery of wholesale Internet protocol (IP) telephony solutions to channel partners. IPC offers wholesale-hosted IP telephony services to a wide variety of enterprise customers delivered through multiple service providers.

This acquisition enables BCS to further expand its capabilities in IP-based audio and video solutions, which are core business communications technologies. BCS will add IPC's assets, customer relationships and its employees' backgrounds and experience to enhance its product offerings. With the completion of this acquisition, the company now offers a complete converged network services solution including videoconferencing and hosted voice over IP telephony services.

"The acquisition of IPC and its strong foothold in the VoIP market is a strategic and important move for BCS because we are now able to offer a complete audio and video offering for our customers," said Piero Romani, President and CEO of BCS. "The combined resources of BCS and IPC allow us to continue to grow and expand our brand in the marketplace along with our partners, while at the same time maintaining the quality services our customers have come to expect."

The acquisition supports BCS' mandate to provide solutions for a wider range of customers' application needs, supported by a broader portfolio of products. The combination of more than four years of experience in the hosted video IP market, and the acquisition of IPC will enable BCS to further expand its strong installation base across Canada and United States with a complete network services solution.
