About Gary Alpert
Back in 1994, when the online recruitment industry was just getting started, Gary and his business partner Steve Pollock launched WetFeet as the "Consumer Reports for Job Seekers," - a comprehensive information source for talent to research companies, industries and careers and for companies to present their differentiating employment value proposition to college-educated talent. Beginning with the WetFeet Insider Guide series (which today includes over 50 published titles) and the WetFeet.com and InternshipProgram.com websites, Gary and his team have leveraged their strong brand among job seekers to help leading companies including Merrill Lynch, Federated Department Stores, Procter & Gamble, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Xerox build, execute and manage their recruitment and talent management programs. Most recently, WetFeet's advanced web-based recruitment management system, WetFeet Recruiter, has become a leading technology for powering corporations' recruitment websites, applicant tracking, and recruitment management systems.

Gary and his team speak frequently on corporate best practices and trends in talent acquisition, corporate recruitment websites, and university recruitment. His firm's research has been featured in numerous journals, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and Fortune. His experience as a Silicon Valley entrepreneur is profiled in the 1998 book, "Upstart Start-Ups". Prior to founding WetFeet, Gary was a health care consultant for the Washington D.C.-based Advisory Board Company and marketing director for the Palo Alto-based Health Care Education Network. In addition to his work with WetFeet, Gary serves on the Board of Directors of the MBA-Nonprofit Connection, which matches MBA students and alumni with senior-level job opportunities in the nonprofit sector.
