OUTSTANDING
ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Bill is the founder and CEO of an international group of consulting
and retained executive search firms.
About
William Guy
Mr. Guy guest lectures to students from many colleges and
universities including Stanford, USC, UCLA, UCI, Peter Drucker
Graduate School of Management (Claremont Colleges), SFV College
of Law, etc. Additionally, he has written many articles and
guest columns on the subjects of organizational "re-engineering"
and effective leadership.
In
1985, Mr. Guy retired from Ward Howell to become Founder and
Managing Director of an organization which today is known
as Cornerstone International Group.* After building this global
consortium to the largest in the world, Mr. Guy elected to
divide his time equally between running the organization as
its Chairman and Chief Executive and giving back to the community
though public service and Board participation. In the former
capacity, at least 50% of his personal practice is devoted
to finding Outside Directors for corporate Boards, as well
as for Boards of not-for-profit organizations.
An
active philanthropist, Mr. Guy served three terms as President
of Outreach Love, an international charity for under-privileged,
homeless, and mentally-retarded children, and has served the
Boy Scouts of America for many years from unit level (Den
Leader to Scoutmaster) to district level (District Chairman
of three merged districts) to council level (Board of Directors
of two local Councils) to area and national levels (Nominating
Committee and National BSA Council).
Mr.
Guy's previous community service also includes actively supporting
the symphony association; serving as Chairman of a local bank's
advisory board; serving as an officer for several professional
and civic organizations; serving 15 years as an Advisory Board
Member for Adventures/Unlimited, an international youth organization;
plus he has been recognized by numerous national and international
"Who's Who" organizations, including the covetous
"International Who's Who in Community Service" distinguished
service award, granted by the International Biographical Centre
of Cambridge, England.
Cornerstone International Group has quietly grown to one of
the largest consulting organizations of its type in the world.
Cornerstone professionals are primarily former senior partners
who broke away from premier consulting firms such as Booz
Allen and Hamilton, Arthur Andersen, McKinsey & Company,
Arthur D. Little, Ernst & Whinney, Sperry Rand Corporation,
Hay Management Group, PE Consultants, Arthur Young, Korn/Ferry
International, Boyden Associates, Price Waterhouse, Berndtson
International, Heidrick and Struggles, Spencer Stuart, Ward
