About
William O. Warren
Having amassed more than 20 years of experience
in recruiting and human resource management
with Rockwell International and General Foods
Corporation, Bill Warren left corporate recruitment
to develop the first online employment site,
Human Resource Information Network (HRIN),
on Prodigy and CompuServe. In August 1992,
Warren, along with a consortium of Fortune
100 companies, founded Online Career Center
(OCC). He sold Online Career Center in December
1995 to TMP Worldwide, parent company of The
Monster Board. In January 1999, when TMP Worldwide
merged OCC and The Monster Board, Warren was
appointed President of the newly merged entity,
Monster.com. He recently founded Employersdirect.com,
a non-profit organization designed to share,
among a cooperative group of employers, electronic
employment advertising and all available technology
to assist in recruiting, communications, and
human capital management. Warren received
the Employment Management Association's prestigious
Pericles Pro Meritus Award in 1997; an honor
presented by the Employment Management Association
that recognized his founding of recruiting
on the Internet.
