"Niche"
job boards are growing in popularity. A deluge
of candidates, looking for work; have
driven traffic, sky on our nation's top job boards.
"Record Traffic Propels Monster Into Top
25 Most Visited Properties", during February,
2002.In parallel, many third party search firms
have abandoned the use of Monster and other nationally
recognized Job boards. The resume morass creates
a strain on the short-handed over worked HR/Corporate
recruiters, scrambling to handle the flow, required
to only present those qualified. HR/Corporate
internal recruiting organizations have invested
millions in software and services to screen and
track the multitude of responses.
Niche job boards, effectively countered this problem.
Niche boards attract better-qualified, more experienced
candidates, by target marketing their boards to
job seekers within their particular niche field.
This avoids the curse of the generalist boards,
where many candidates apply for every position,
regardless of experience, qualifications or skills.
Niche jobs boards do not have budgets to compete.
Don Firth, President and CEO of JobsInLogistics.com
and AllRetailJobs.com joined with Eric Shannon,
owner of Latrpro.com and Jim Moylan, owner of
CallCenterJobs.com. Together, they have created
an alliance (Nicheboards.com)
of leading, non-competing, independently owned
niche job boards.
Their success, will provide recruiters with an
effective alternative to generalist boards.
