At 3.8, June's recruiter sentiment remains unchanged from May, tied for the highest sentiment score on record. Recruiters also reported their highest average workload on record at 20 open roles per recruiter.
Yet talent is not easy to come by: Candidate sentiment declined from 3.4 in May to 3.2 in June, signaling that candidates are losing interest in new jobs. Forty percent of recruiters said the average volume of applicants per role fell between May and June, and only 21.7 percent said it increased. That may help explain why demand for recruiting/staffing professionals has surged.
