NewseHire heads into 2012 ahead of most recruiting competitors by utilizing a smart social media strategy to enhance relationships with job candidates. eHire is familiar with social media and has already been using it as a tool to increase business, while other companies are just beginning to get their teams familiar with it.

The need for Recruiters and Employment Specialists has increased in the past year, with over 900 ads placed in the past 90 days. When compared to last year’s same 90 day-period, requests have increased 117%. Atlanta has experienced more than 400% growth within the same time period.

eHire chose not to hire additional staff that had social media knowledge, but decided to train their current recruiters . Using social media has helped eHire to increase business and spread brand awareness.

Kate Clark, eHire’s Marketing Manager, states, “While many recruiting companies will not be able to train their employees or integrate social media fast enough to be effective in 2012, eHire is already seeing success. In just the past year we’ve seen a 55% increase in Twitter followers, an 86% increase in Facebook fans and an amazing 1265% increase in unique visitors to our website.   • Using crowdsourcing, as every employee at eHire utilizes a Twitter account.
  • Creating a technology interest Meetup group (Atlanta Spring User Group) that now has over 300 members.
  • Creating a blog full of relevant content.
  • Utilizing contests via Facebook to encourage online participation.
  • Supporting several nonprofits, including Hands on Atlanta, High Tech Ministries and Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program.
