magazine page Recruiting software solutions provider Entelo, Inc. recently launched Hiring for Good, a new social impact program that is designed to improve communities and foster the next generation of tech talent.

To jumpstart the new initiative, Entelo partnered with CodeEd, a Boston-based nonprofit that teaches computer science, programing and coding to underprivileged middle-school girls. As a part of the partnership, Entelo agrees to donate a year’s worth of instruction for one girl in the CodeEd program for every new hire Entelo customers make using the company’s next-generation recruiting tools.

“CodeEd is doing great work to not only address the under-representation of women in the computer science and tech industries, but also introduce girls from underserved communities to the possibility of a career in tech—something they may have never considered before,” Jon Bischke, CEO of Entelo, said. “It’s a privilege to contribute toward this endeavor, and we’re pleased to formalize our philanthropic focus under this new program.”

The company’s software aims to help companies overcome the growing challenge of hiring top talent in today’s competitive marketplace. The new collaboration helps enable Entelo to have a direct impact on closing the skills gap by fostering the next generation of programmers.

“Social good is just part of our DNA,” Bischke said. Entelo already matches one-for-one any donations made by employees to nonprofit organizations up to $1,000 each, but Bischke explained Hiring for Good is an opportunity to get more involved at the grass-roots level.
