big data id management merges with talent management Business management software developer TOTVS has announced the availability of the beta version of Fluig Identity, a cloud-based identity management service with Big Data combined with talent management capabilities. The offering lets business combine social media and enterprise data to construct an identity graph making it easy to match open positions with employee strengths. To do so, Fluig Identity mines social media sites such as LinkedIn and other professionals systems to gain an understanding of the capabilities of current employees.

Fluig Identity provides a single resource that provides access to corporate applications and resources, the social networks of employees, and other personal online resources while managing identity. The single sign-on interface presents a more secure environment in that it eliminates the need for password and site-access management. Additionally, employees have access to One Time Password functionality, allowing them to access all apps after a single password entry.

Since Fluig Identity does not rely on replicating weak passwords, instead using secure and encrypted certificates, it improves the security of SaaS applications adoption and automatically creates users once they are added to HR systems or Active Directory. Employees are also automatically removed once they leave the HR systems. This happens thanks to configurable workflows with over 300 integrated apps such as SalesForce, Google Apps, GoodData, WorkDay, Box and others.

Until today, identity and access management has been focused on security and protecting corporate resources,” said Vicente Goetten, executive director of TOTVS Labs. “Fluig Identity creates a powerful new value proposition, helping management teams efficiently map employee skills, experience and interests to open positions that might be difficult to fill. It’s the first time companies and employees mutually benefit from the information included in social profiles and inside the organizations. Fluig Identity provides a powerful way to reduce recruiting costs and employee turnover, while increasing job satisfaction and employee morale.”
