Glassdoor Best Places to Work section Jobs and career community site Glassdoor recently announced the winners of its sixth-annual Employees’ Choice Awards, which honors the 50 Best Places to Work (recognizing companies with 1000+ employees) and the 50 Best Medium-Sized Companies to Work For (recognizing companies with 250-999  employees) in 2014. The Employees’ Choice Awards are compiled solely based on employees feedback from Glassdoor’s anonymous online company review survey.

The survey, which received more than 500,000 responses, asks employees about the pros and cons of their workplaces, including: rating how satisfied they are with their company overall; how they feel their CEO is leading the company; career opportunities; compensation & benefits; culture & values; senior management; work-life balance; whether they would recommend their employer to a friend; and their opinion on the company’s business outlook in the next six months.

The top five Best Places to Work in 2014 include:

2. Twitter

3. LinkedIn

4. Eastman Chemical

5. Facebook

The top five Best Medium-Sized Companies to Work For in 2014 include:

1. Motley Fool

2. SmartBear Software

3. TravelZoo

4. Cornerstone OnDemand

5. Paycom
