IOR logoUK-based Institute of Recruiters (IOR) has launched its new professional certificate in in-house recruiting. The Level-3 qualification is regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual), delivered entirely online and provides recruiters with the practical knowledge and skills needed to perform all the responsibilities of an internal recruitment professional.

The comprehensive curriculum guides users through:

  • Seven units of study;
  • Overviews of the changing recruitment market;
  • How organizations manage recruitment operations;
  • Up-to-date candidate sourcing and attraction techniques (including social media use);
  • Detailed guides on assessing the right people; and
  • The latest on recruitment law.

The nonprofit says that the techniques taught for the new certificate will not only revolutionize how organizations recruit but enable recruiters to build credibility and add value to a company.

“This qualification has been created by a dedicated team of professionals and gives the learner a deep understanding of how to ensure they are attracting the best talent,” IOR Director General, Azmat Mohammed, said. “I would recommend all in-house recruiters undertake this course in order to be professionally qualified in their role.”

The IOR certificates are delivered through its online education platform, the first recruitment qualifications to be delivered in this form. The Institute says that this means recruiters can learn at their own pace and in their own space, without having to take valuable time out of their working day.

“Investing in learning is essential if you are serious about getting the maximum return on investment for the business,” Mohammed added.
