job.com logoLeader in the online recruitment world Job.com recently launched a new mobile platform, m.job.com. According to the company, this release is just the first phase of its product strategy to “bring innovation to mobile job searching.”

Currently, more than 20 percent of Job.com’s five million unique monthly visitors originate from a mobile device. Mobile visitors to the job board have more than doubled in the past two years, the company said. In response, the Job.com team introduced this new product, benefiting both job seekers and employers looking for talent.

“We’re excited to bring the redesigned elements of the site [implemented earlier this year] to mobile,” said Brian Alden, President and CEO of Job.com. “Additionally, we’re proud to present a solution that lets our job seekers search and find employers that are hiring near them.”

Features of the mobile site include:

  • A sleek, simple job search experience
  • List of the top five companies hiring near the user’s location
  • Recently posted jobs matching search criteria for returning members who opted-in to receive job alerts

“With so much of our traffic coming from mobile these days, it’s crucial that we provide a targeted and easy-to-use job search experience for our job seekers,” Alden said. “By showcasing company jobs directly on the homepage, job seekers can quickly access opportunities close to them, while delivering local talent to the employers.”
