LinkedIn infographic section Valentine’s Day may be over, but LinkedIn still wants to help recruiters steal a candidate’s heart. That’s why its Talent Solutions has created a new infographic, “Inside the Hearts and Minds of Professionals Everywhere: Top Career Motivators,” to give recruiters an inside look at the mindsets of today’s top talent.

Based on its Talent Trends Survey of more than 18,000 professionals in 26 countries, the data in the infographic details the workforce’s attitude toward the job search, job satisfaction and career evaluation.

According to the data, 27 percent of workers are very satisfied with their jobs while 45 percent are somewhat satisfied. Yet, even though more than half of professionals are satisfied with their jobs, the infographic explains how most will still consider a career change.

In fact, 45 percent of professionals aren’t looking for a job but are open to talking to recruiters about opportunities, while 25 percent are actively searching.

And for those looking to sway open candidates, the data reveals the three top and bottom motivators that will get professionals to accept a new job:

Top 3 Motivators

  • Better compensation and benefits
  • Good work/life balance
  • Opportunities for advancement

Bottom 3 Motivators

  • Job title
  • Office location
  • Relationship with managers

The infographic also reveals interesting differences based on gender and age. For example, the data says that millennials find compensation to be extremely important and work/life balance as not much of a concern. “Seasoned” workers (ages 40+) are less concerned with money and more focused on having a good lifestyle.

And, according to the infographic,  HR and talent professionals can take away multiple lessons from the survey results. Those include:

Not being put off by passive candidates;

Not getting complacent about employees; and

Uncovering what motivates candidates.
