The Project Management Institute has announced its 2016 conference in Orange County, entitled “Building Leaders for Business.” The conference will offer dynamic workshops, modern networking, and high profile-guest speakers. The Sheraton Park Hotel in Anaheim will host this one-day event, which will run from 8 AM to 6 PM and welcome project, program, and portfolio professionals from diverse industries. Bringing together both PMI members and non-members, the event will inform, educate, and demonstrate the latest in project management leadership, strategic business management, and technical project management. Enhanced networking opportunities have been built into this year’s event as well to provide men and women the opportunity to connect engage.

Guest speaker Mick Ebeling, the founder and CEO of Not Impossible who has also been recognized for his work as a film and television produce, author, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and featured TED Talk expert, will headline the conference. His presentation will challenge attendees to think differently and discover that all problems have the ability to be solved with some creativity.

Victoria Kumar, who has extensive experience from working with IBM, North Carolina’s state government, and PMI Global, is also a featured speaker. She will share her knowledge and strategic tips on how to manage shifting global trends and an uncertain economy. She’ll argue that organizations must shift their thinking and embrace project management as a strategic competency that can reduce risk, cut costs, and improve success rates.

With attendees from distinguished companies across the region – including AT&T, Deloitte Consulting, Dell Software Group, Experian Consumer Services, Farmers Insurance, Honeywell Aerospace, Kaiser Permanente, LA Times, Microsoft, Montage Hotels and Resorts, Parker Aerospace, Boeing, and Toyota Motors of North America – the 2016 conference will bring together experts from a number of industries.
