Job Description

Connected Vehicle Platforms and Programs organization is a team dedicated to specifying, architecting, designing, implementing, and operating an End-to-End Ecosystem focused on delivering Telematics and Infotainment Services to Ford and Lincoln vehicles globally. The team is very diverse - representing capability in feature/service definition, systems engineering, End-to-End Architecture Design and Deployment, and Ongoing System Operations and Support. Connected Vehicle Platforms & Programs is seeking a process and data Engineer to support data acquisition using our current and next generation of data collection enablers across multiple cloud, back office and mobile applications and into new geographical markets.

 

DUTIES:

Lead connected vehicle agile data acquisition process. Develop end-to-end process for the request with all associated rules for data acquisition based on available enablers.

Work with Cross-functional team including Architecture, IT, OGC, in-vehicle engineering team

As global process owner, ensure the process works in different regions and comply with local requirements

Run and resolve any open issues during the review / governance process

Work with verification teams on data acquisition testing

Lead the process change when necessary for new enablers and roll out the new process to the global team

Develop relationships with the supply base to learn about the latest technologies and possible implementations.

 

Skills Required:

Excellent communication and people organization skills to gain input for relevant teams

Familiarity with the theory of big data processing

Familiarity with programming languages and software development practices

 

Skills Preferred:

Familiarity with data security and privacy

Self-starter capable of operating independently but also highly effective working with product teams

 

Experience Required:

Experience in gathering large data sets and use of data visualization tools effectively

Some exposure to connected vehicle and associated technologies

 

Experience Preferred:

Excellent communication and presentation skills in business and technical situation at all levels

Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment

 

Education Required:

Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer engineering, Electrical engineering, Computer Science or a related field

Preferred: Masters in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
