headhuntableHeadhuntable.com has announced its first social recruiting platform aimed at tech startups and established organizations alike. The core of the platform, simply named Headhuntable, is a social network designed for engineers and developers who compete against each other for rank in order to receive access to top employment opportunities. By having job seeking developers recommend each other and participate in competitive challenges involving each developer’s knowledge of his or her specialization tech, companies may be able to source pre-assessed development talent at a lower cost.

Headhuntable brings the concept of recommendations out of the realm of phone and email communications into the domain of social networking. The social media platform allows developers to socialize with others in their field, compete to receive recognition and set up personal profiles to show off their education, qualifications, projects, source code, and other professional accomplishments. This approach allows job seekers to forego creating their own website to showcase their work and simply work right off of their personal Headhuntable web space.

Nathan Hallford, founder of Headhuntable.com, said, “Our main goal is to streamline the tech recruiting process so that all the talented and prescreened head-huntable developers will be found on Headhuntable. Essentially if you’re looking for the best engineer on the market you’d head to Headhuntable.”

Headhuntable is currently in its beta phase and is offering free registration to both job seekers and employers until the program’s full release. For more information visit Headhuntable.com.
