Glassdoor logo Social jobs and career community center Glassdoor recently introduced a new feature for its more than 700 customersthe Employer Center. The Center, currently in beta, is a self-service tool designed to help companies make “social recruiting decisions based on job seeker activity and authentic workplace insights.” With the Employer Center, companies can:

  • Access job seeker demographics by education, years of experience, gender and age —Are employers targeting the candidates they aimed to attract?”
  • Verify the company’s awareness level with job seekers —Are job seekers looking at the company and its available jobs?
  •  View a competitive analysis —How does the employer’s brand stack up against its competition? Employers have the option of choosing which companies to be compared with based on categories, such as career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, and CEO approval rating. Companies can also see how their number of page views compares with competitors in the job market and discover how their ratings trend over months.
  • Analyze job activity —Which available jobs are most popular? Glassdoor ranks a company’s top viewed jobs, helping employers understand how to promote high priority jobs.

The Employer Center is accessible direct from a company’s profile page on Glassdoor and can be viewed at any time of day and from anywhere in the world.

“Companies are hungry for better information that helps them find the candidates they want as well as retain the employees they need,” said Steve Roop, Glassdoor vice president of marketing. “We’re excited to give employers more resources to help them get started on Glassdoor so they can better engage with top talent and manage their employment brand.”

Glassdoor also upgraded benefits to free employer accounts that now provide companies with four key capabilities:

  • Monitor employer brand —unlimited access to all content on website, which helps decide action plan
  • Engage job candidates—respond to reviews, flag inappropriate content
  • Manage basic company information—add company description, mission, logo, photos, awards and more
  • Talent insights—manage brand awareness, view candidate demographics and interests
