monsterMonster Worldwide, Inc. has hosted its first Innovation Day to introduce its new technologies to close the expanding global skills gap. In addition to highlighting the growing challenges of the global skills gap, the event looks to give insight into semantic search technology and its role in helping to streamline recruitment while making it both more effective and cost-efficient.

“In a world where the global skills gap is growing at a relatively fast clip, technology will play an ever-increasing role in helping to match companies with the right skilled workers,” said Monster Worldwide Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Sal Iannuzzi. “Helping global companies find the ‘needle in the haystack’ is our main mission here at Monster.”

Demonstrations given at the event included proprietary products such as Monster’s Career Ad Network, Power Resume Search, its SeeMore platform, and the BeKnown app. Monster’s Career Ad Network solution uses the company’s global reach and recruitment-focused network to reach its over 100 million monthly users all over the world. The Power Resume Search, using the proprietary 6Sense Semantic Search Technology, “understands” key words and concepts to return candidate matches more relevant than competing search engines.

Monster’s new cloud-based talent management platform, SeeMore, grants recruiters unfettered access to all of Monster’s search and analytic tools. Utilizing Facebook to power Monster’s BeKnown networking app gives job seekers the ability to use their own networks to find new job opportunities and make new professional contacts.
