theladders redesigns services At TheLadders’ first ever JobMobile Summit, the company unveiled new features added to both its mobile app and website that accelerate engagement and reduce friction between candidate and recruiter. New features identified at the Summit include:

• Push notifications that alert smartphone users of new published jobs within seconds of their posting.

• An activity feed that displays interactions between employers and candidates’ profiles through compilations of profile views, resume downloads, ratings, and feedback.

• The use of TheLadders Scout that reveals current compensations, title, years of experience, educational background, and expertise of all (anonymized) job applicants.

• Improved search filters aggregating job matches by location, industry, and expertise.

The new mobile app, Job Search by TheLadders, is available in the App Store and complements the recently launched mobile-responsive website.

“When it comes to the hiring process, speed, freshness and convenience become critically important for both job seekers and employers,” said Alex Douzet, CEO and Co-founder of TheLadders. “While the recruitment industry has been slow to adopt mobile technology – years behind other industries – one in five job searches is being conducted on a mobile device, the most intuitive solution for today’s job-search needs.”

The new mobile development is in response to the growing market for mobile job seekers. TheLadders reports that 20 percent of job searches take place on a mobile device and 86 percent of job seekers using a smartphone would use it in their job search if options were available.
