Universum Employment BrandingUniversum, a global leader in employer branding, has recently released their employer rankings for the 2011 U.S. undergraduate survey of ideal employers. The findings reveal students’ perceptions on the top organizations to work for and helps employers discover where they stand amongst competitors.

The survey results are useful for a number of audiences – including students, employees, recruiters, hiring managers and business professionals. In the race to recruit tomorrow’s best and brightest minds, the findings provide an inside look at who holds the most attractive brands on the recruitment market. Additionally, students’ perception of a brand offers insights into the health and future direction of top organizations.

The Universum Student Survey is conducted globally each year, with students of all grade levels at the top academic institutions targeted for inclusion. For measuring the appeal an organization has over specific targeted groups, the ideal employer survey has been broken down into categories reflecting students’ geographic location and main field of study.

Globally, Universum surveyed over 400,000 participants in 2011. In the U.S. alone (for the U.S. top 100 Employers), there were:

  • 61,726 Respondents
  • 206,462 Individual employer evaluations
  • 345 Universities targeted
  • Ran from December 2010 to March 2011

While currently available through the Universum website, the prestigious rankings will also be made available through The New York Timesas an advertising supplement in November. The supplement will include the rankings of the 100 most ideal U.S. employers with additional features and testimonials from employees working at these top companies.

“Because of our global surveys of over 400,000 students and young professionals, Universum is the world leader when it comes to ranking today’s most ideal employers,” said Kortney Kutsop, Employer Branding Specialist for Universum. “By distributing the Universum Top 100 through The New York Times,we will be able to connect today’s top talent with today’s most influential employer brands.”
