icims logoLeading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider iCIMS just announced the release of its newest product Connect, a tool that helps customers engage passive candidates and create a sourcing channel for future hiring needs. Connect is a part of iCIMS’ Talent Platform; Recruit and Onboard are the other two talent acquisition solutions that make up the platform.

“In the world of recruitment, many stars need to align in order to make a successful hire: you need to get the right candidate to view the right job opportunity while in the right mood – with the right documentation ready – in order to get the process moving,” said Susan Vitale, Chief Marketing Officer at iCIMS. “In reality, however, there are lots of variables that may prevent that from happening. Our goal with Connect is to get things queued up so an employer can be ready with a pipeline of vetted talent when a requisition becomes available.”

Connect’s features include:

  • Candidates can share the professional details of their social media profiles with a company and receive alerts for relevant jobs that become available
  • Job seekers can submit a traditional resume and note key information, e.g. willingness to relocate, for recruiters for future career opportunities
  • The Social Connect portal can be fully branded to align with an organization’s corporate or employment branding
  • By using Connect’s mass import tools, HR professionals can send batches of candidates into the Connect product from numerous locations and once the candidates are imported, sourcers can manage candidates through talent pools categorized by job function or hire type and market
  • Mobile kiosk, such as a tablet and QR code, capability ideal for job fairs and sourcing teams in retail environments

“Connect allows our clients to become marketers without having to learn a complicated CRM system or become experts in marketing techniques,” said Vitale. “While traditional marketers are responsible for warming up potential customers to become sales-ready leads, sourcers can use Connect to network with their contacts until they are recruiter-ready. When the time is right candidates can become formal applicants and seamlessly move from Connect into our Recruit product for compliant applicant tracking.”
