behavioral eqIndividual and organizational performance specialists TRACOM Group have released the next-generation of Emotional Intelligence Quotient assessment and training use to improve workplace productivity through the measurement and development of the workforce Behavioral Emotional Intelligence Quotient (BEQ). Multiple studies have found BEQ is a determining factor when identifying workers who will be stellar performers and those who will be simply average. The new TRACOM release works to assess an BEQ score and translate it into predicted behaviors.

“Behavioral EQ has emerged as a proven way to improve performance,” said Casey Mulqueen, Ph.D., director of research product development for TRACOM. “BEQ skills are associated with increased sales, better recruiting, effective leadership and high customer service. And the good news is that there’s evidence that these skills can be developed through training programs, making individuals and their organizations more productive and effective.”

The company now offers a self-assessment to measure an individual’s Behavioral EQ across four core areas and a modular training course that helps bring people up to speed on BEQ concepts and on ways to use the self-assessment as a starting point for refining behavioral skills in the workplace. The introductory course can be completed in about two hours but additional content can be added to extend the class to a full days worth of BEQ learning. Additional resources such as EQ case studies, whitepapers, and webinars plus information regarding the BEQ class and self-assessment can be accessed at BehavioralEQ.com.
