With more than 1 million student members and more than 5 million unique students who visited the site in 2012, MyEdu is an ideal resource for employers to connect with and source talent early in a student’s educational process.

‘MyEdu has already helped millions of students navigate a clear path to their academic goals,” said Michael Crosno, founder, chairman and CEO of MyEdu. “Now, MyEdu is tackling the challenge of matching students and young professionals with employers.”

The free platform is popular with STEM disciplines with15 percent of MyEdu members being engineering majorsand 6.7 percent of members being math and computer science majors. More than half (60 percent) of the site’s members are at 4-year institutions while another 35 percent attend community colleges. Students hail from all 50 states with Texas, California, North Carolina, and Florida representing the largest memberships.

MyEdu has academic data available for 800 mostly public colleges, universities and community colleges.

The platform offers more than 1.5 million jobs and internships gathered from around the web, with some of the top college recruiters being Ernst Young, Macy’s, and high-growth tech companies likes VMWare and Whaleshark Media. Since its October 2012 launch, it has generated more than 1 million job views. Originally in its Beta version, as of last month, MyEdu is open to the public.

Employers pay MyEdu to help:

  • Build their brands with targeted students early in their academic endeavors
  • Post jobs at specific or a broad range of schools
  • Search for and connect with students whose profiles reflect a good talent match for their company
  • Highlight the necessary skills and experiences that will make a student successful at the company

“Students have repeatedly told us that they are not well-served by the traditional resume or most professional networking sites,” Frank Lyman, chief product officer at MyEdu, said. “It takes more than reading a list of historical jobs to truly understand what a student or young professional is capable of.”
