NewsThe winners of the 2011 Recruiting Awards were announced this week after much anticipation at the LinkedIn TalentConnect Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. The awards are designed to honor those select individuals who exhibited exemplary drive and passion in their recruiting practices , and who strove to set the high watermark in innovation and candidate experience. The three categories of the competition included awards for top Talent Hunter, Recruiting Organization, and best in Recruiting Innovation.

Jason Buss, creator of The Recruiting Awards and editor at TalentHQ commented, “In creating these awards, our aim was to provide recognition to those whose recruiting practices and innovative thinking serve as one benchmark for our industry. I’m pleased that all of the nominees and winners demonstrated the results that thought-leading recruiting processes deliver.”

The winners of the 2011 Recruiting Awards were as follows:

Talent Hunter

  • Angie White, Talent Acquisition Manager of H.H. Gregg won the 2011 Talent Hunter award for her relentless sourcing and in-depth talent identification approach.

Recruiting Organization

  • Kari Cohen and the Renaissance Financial recruiting team were selected as the 2011 Recruiting Organization of the Year for positioning their recruiting efforts as a strategic advantage to their company.

Recruiting Innovation

  • Stacy Van Meter from Deluxe Corporation was chosen as the 2011 Recruiting Innovation Award winner for excellence in the craft and striving to maximize candidate experience.

Kurt Heikkinen, CEO of Montage and sponsor of the event, added: “These outstanding individuals and organizations strive to deliver the best candidate experience and recruiting results for their companies. The winners were awarded $5,000 in cash and prizes and an additional contribution to a charity of their choice from Talent HQ.
