Registered Nurse Endoscopy Lewisville, TX

SHIFT: Full Time Days (rotating weekends)

Work Schedule:  Full-time (4 )10’s 7A-5P, 1-2 weekdays per week of call and rotating call and 1 weekend every 3 weeks of call

Job Responsibilities

  • The RN is responsible for assessing the operative nursing care needs of patients, planning interventions and evaluating outcomes of care.
  • The RN is responsible for providing care, which is appropriate for age specific (pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics), the developmental and safety needs, the planned procedure, and the anesthetic agent used. 
  • The RN will communicate and educate the patient and/or their family members and/or significant others regarding events pertinent to their care. 
  • The RN also anticipates and plans for the needs of the surgical team and coordinates the care provided in the endoscopy room while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment.



Minimum Position Requirements:

    1. Licensure/Certification/Registration:  

a.    Current TX RN license

b.    BLS (AHA) Certification

c.   ACLS (AHA) Certification within 6 months of employment if RN has experience; new Graduate within 12 months.



      a.    BSN preferred.

      b.    ADN required and if no BSN then required to achieve BSN within three years of hire date or will be separated from employment.


 Experience: Staff RN’s not hired in a graduate nurse or intern status, must have a minimum of two years recent nursing experience in area of practice in an acute care setting.
