Food Fund was developed as a concept over 10 years ago by Costa Tomazos, the Chairman of Food Fund International, who started his F&B experience in the 1970s by opening one of the first steakhouse chains in South Africa.

The Meat Co is an elite portfolio of steakhouse restaurants in the Middle East, Africa and the United Kingdom. The brand was launched in Johannesburg in 2000 by Costa Tomazos, one of South Africa's most successful restaurateurs, as the cornerstone of the FoodFund International group. He now chairs the Dubai-based FoodFund International. Today, under the leadership of CEO Johnny Tomazos, FFI is moving forward in the international restaurant markets with several more ingenious fusion brands.
