Known throughout the industry for his extraordinary forecasting abilities, Bryan Waiksnis has built a successful career in finance by harnessing these talents to see the movement of stocks one step ahead of the street. Bryan worked his way through college, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Hofstra University with a B.A. in Banking and Finance, and graduated with Highest Honors after completing a thesis on "The Benefits of International Diversification". Having to earn from a young age helped to instill an incomparable work ethic which fueled his desire for success. Bryan joined Knight Capital Group shortly after graduation in 1995, starting as an assistant trader, and quickly rose through the ranks to obtain his own account within a year. By 2001 he had attained the title of Vice President and had become the firm’s number one producing listed trader, achieving these monumental accomplishments by the age of twenty-five, and remained on the very top for five consecutive years.

Short Term Alpha, LLC was created in 2011 with the intent of providing our clients with short-term trading ideas and research.  Our target clients are hedge funds, proprietary traders, institutional investors, banks, as well as individual investors.  Short Term Alpha offers a new and unique alternative to the multitude of other research organizations, many of whom rely solely on fundamental or technical analysis. Our mission is to realize substantial short-term profits within a relatively brief holding period of approximately one day to a few months. We strive to be ahead of the curve by identifying opportunities before a stock makes its move, instead of “piling on” after the high percentage gain.  By contrasting the “buy and hold forever” investment philosophy, Short Term Alpha provides clients with several short term trading ideas per month, as well as occasional longer-term investment ideas.
