Booz Company logoAccording to the Vault.com Top Tech Consulting Rankings for 2013, global consulting firm Booz Company ranked no.1 as the top tech consulting firm to work for. The rankings are based on Vault.com’s annual Tech Consulting Survey, which was conducted earlier this year. More than 1,500 tech consulting professionals representing all levels evaluated their peer firms on a scale of 1 to 10 based on prestige. Using a range of “best to work for” categories, participants also rated their own firm’s quality of life. Categories included firm culture, compensation, overall satisfaction and diversity, to name a few. A weighted formula combining prestige and best to work for ratings was used to create the Vault Top IT Consulting ranking.

Booz Company scored well in both the prestige and best to work for rankings, landing the company the title of the Top Tech Consulting Firm to Work For. Deloitte Consulting, Booz Allen Hamilton, Accenture and Clarkston Consulting were also among the top five spots ranking no.2-5, respectively.

Employees spoke highly of Booz Company saying:

“If you want to do highly impactful work, learn a lot, and work hard – Booz Co is the place for you,” said a participant.

Another participant added, “Booz assigns junior and senior mentors to each consultant to ensure career development goals are balanced with firm needs.”

McKinsey Co. again ranked as the most prestigious firm in the tech consulting industry with respondents calling the firm “best of the best,” “well respected,” and a “consulting trendsetter.”

“While the firm is better known for its management and strategy consulting capabilities,” said Vault.com Consulting Editor Phil Stott, “McKinsey’s performance in the prestige rankings just proves the strength of the firm’s reputation, and also underlines the critical role that technology plays in corporate strategy in this day and age.”
