peoplefluent released socialtext 6.0 Leading social HCM technology company Peoplefluent has released the next version of its enterprise collaboration and networking software, Socialtext 6.0. The new Socialtext streamlines employee interaction and engagement to boost business employment. Enhanced functionality of the platform includes micro-blogging, social networking, content creation, expertise location and video capabilities, and simplifies the process of sharing the expertise, ideas, and corporate data.

The environment Socialtext creates facilitates a quick search for people and expertise, the development of task-centered groups, and sharing and creating content. Socialtext 6.0 automatically adapts to various web browsers, OSes, and devices to further boost the user experience.

“Enterprise collaboration solutions are only effective if they can make it easier for employees to do their jobs. With productivity as a top priority, we’ve significantly invested in the Socialtext platform design to deliver a user-friendly and intuitive experience,” said Stephen Bruce, SVP of Product Management and Marketing, Peoplefluent. “Utilizing open standards and the latest technology, such as integrated video capability, provides HR professionals and other administrators the ability to customize the user experience and remove knowledge silos that have traditionally hampered companies’ ability to respond to change and serve customers efficiently.”

In addition to a new user interface, including an updated appearance, navigation, and interaction model, Socialtext 6.0 offers new video capabilities through integration of an enterprise video-content management platform. The platform also features enhanced activity stream features such as signal microblogging, an unlimited lifetime for signals and events in the Activity Stream, and previews of embedded files from URLs. The update also brings a unified search functionality and an enhanced people and groups director.
