Glassdoor Releases Top 25 Companies for Compensation & Benefits for 2014

Glassdoor recently  released its inaugural report on the “Top 25 Companies for Compensation & Benefits for 2014.” The rankings derive from U.S. employee feedback.

Google came in at no.1 with a 4.4 rating for compensation and benefits. The remainder of 2014’s top five included:

-Costco (4.4 stars)

-Facebook (4.3 stars)

-Adobe (4.2 stars)

-Epic Systems Corporation (4.2 stars)

Additional highlights of the list include:

• With nearly half of all companies on 2014’s list coming from the tech sector, the tech industry, well-known for providing great benefits and perks, dominated the rankings.

• Landing in second place, Costco is the only retailer on the list. Glassdoor said it’s ranking is primarily for providing great benefits for both its part- and full-time employees.

• Beyond high salary, employees of the top ranking companies cited traditional benefits such as subsidized healthcare plans, 401(k), holiday pay and flexible schedules. They also mentioned non-traditional perks such as sabbaticals, free food, free transportation, on-site dry cleaning and laundry services, game rooms, and minority support groups.
