hr.com expands certification options HR.com, the largest social networking and resource site for HR professionals, has announced an expansion to its product line for members seeking a more affordable way to ensure PHR and SPHR certification. In collaboration with The Human Recourse Certification Preparation (HRCP) Program, HR.com is offering 30 to 36 hours of individual instruction to guarantee passage of the PHR/SPHR online exam. The instructor-led course is blended with guidance from HR.com personnel and passing is guaranteed or all prep course costs will be refunded.

“Attending a PHR/SPHR prep course can be a highly effective way to prepare for the certification exam,” says Terri Zaugg, HRCP’s business manager. “Not only do you have an instructor whose knowledge or expertise may exceed your own, but their experience in helping others prepare for the exam is of great value. Working together with a peer group provides support and encouragement, as well collective experience to draw from throughout the duration of the course.”

Registration includes six units covering all functional areas tested on the exam, flash cards, and online access to hundreds of practice questions. Virtual classes average 12 to 15 students per class and offering flexible scheduling. Receiving certification (national pass rates are 59 percent for PHR and 48 percent for SPHR) helps differentiate HR professionals and helps keep them abreast of the latest industry best practices and standards.

HR.com has also announced comprehensive recertification credits through e-learning and webcasts. All required recertification credits for HRCI recert, WorldatWork credits, and IHR certification across 23 specialties are available. Pricing for certification and recertification services are: $40 per e-learning credit or unlimited for $200 and a total recertification cost of $200 or $150 with SHRM conference registration. All 3,500 webcasts available on HR.com are free and there are 350 e-learning credits to choose from.
