new soft skills training tool for supervisors HRDQ, a leading developer of experiential learning resources for soft-skills trainings, has announced the release of the fourth edition of its Supervisory Skills Questionnaire. The new supervisory training solution offers a new design and enhancements for learning support within global organizations. The new edition includes a full revised and full color facilitator guide, an updated Supervisory Skills model, a supplemental participant workbooks, a step-by-step half-day workshop outline, online administration options, a self-study version, and facilitator support materials.

The combined assessment, workbook, and classroom training workshop targets five areas that play integral roles in the daily work life of supervisors. They include: Guiding the Work, Organizing the Work, Developing Staff, Managing Performance, and Managing Relations. The Supervisory Skills Questionnaire can be used as a standalone tool or as the foundation of a supervisory-skills training program. Trainer certification is not required to administer or facilitate the assessment or workshop.

“The Supervisory Skills Questionnaire has been a trainer favorite for more than 15 years,” Bradford Glaser, HRDQ president and CEO, said. “Unlike other supervisory training programs that focus on broad topics such as communication and leadership, this soft-skills training tool targets five specific and relevant competencies supervisors must master in order to effectively tackle everyday challenges. The situation-based assessment measures capability level and then provides the opportunity to practice skills and develop an action-oriented plan for improvement.”
