Kato.im Launches Corporate Chat Solution Integrated with Active Directory, Google Apps

 Kato, a provider of communications solutions for businesses of all sizes, has launched Kato Enterprise, the first full-featured, scalable professional chat solution. Kato Enterprise builds on Kato’s flagship chat solution Kato Teams and allows companies to incorporate chat throughout their organization. Also the program makes it possible to carry user identities and private conversations across all teams. The platform also introduces the ability to use single sign-on providers such as OneLogin, Okta, and Ping Identity, and integrates with companies using Active Directory, LDAP, or Google Apps to provide large enterprises with a secure chat platform that syncs with existing employee directories.

Kato Enterprise provides live 1-to-1 and group messaging, file sharing and search. Kato Enterprise was designed with a user interface that supports simultaneous conversations without any of the restrictions associated with other chat providers, such as limitations on team members, message history stored, multi-team functionality, and third-party integrations.

Additionally, Kato Enterprise provides generic support for Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) and System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM), which can be used with other single sign-on and provisioning providers and in-house integrations. Kato Enterprise also introduces the ability for companies to specify a company-specific Amazon S3 storage bucket, providing tighter access control to files shared in Kato.
