diverse teamChicago-based recruitment firm Professional Diversity Network (PDN) and LinkedIn have entered into a partnership to provide compliance assistance for companies wishing to recruit a more diverse work force. The list of PDN’s networking sites includes those targeted at professional groups of African Americans, Latinos, Asian Americans, women, LGBT, veterans, and people with disabilities.

“Last month, we surpassed a major milestone: 200 million members. With members joining LinkedIn at a rate of approximately two per second, we offer recruiters a larger and more diverse talent pool than ever before,” said Wade Burgess, head of North American sales for LinkedIn Talent Solutions. “By teaming up with PDN, we are expanding our diversity offering to help our more than 13,000 customers reach professionals in even more places on the web.”

PDN CEO Jim Kirsch added, “American companies now recognize that in order to be competitive, their employees must reflect an increasingly diverse population and customer base. As recruiters and professionals continue to migrate to professional networks to find diverse candidates and network, advance their careers and build their professional brands, PDN understands that traditional job boards are no longer an adequate means of building the workforce of the future.”

The new arrangement provides LinkedIn members the opportunity to post jobs on the eight-website PDN network including: iHispano.com (Hispanic professionals), aMightyRiver.com (African American professionals), Military2Career.com (veterans), ProAble.net (people with disabilities), OutProNet.com (LGBT professionals), AsianCareerNetwork.com (Asian American professionals), WomensCareerChannel.com (professional women), and ProDivNet.com (other diverse professionals).
