Macy's Taleo Platform on iphone screenStrategic design and technology firm Sanger Eby just announced the release of an innovative solution in mobile recruiting. The new solution takes mobile recruiting one step further by allowing job seekers to search andapply for jobs via mobile devices. Before this new feature, the option to apply on a mobile device was a major stumbling block in mobile recruiting.

The new mobile recruiting solution works with the Taleo Talent Management System and is currently being used by Macy’s, Inc. According to the tech firm, being able to provide an easy-to-use mobile application process that connects directly into Macy’s talent management system gives the retailer a competitive edge when seeking the best candidates. Users can experience the solution by visiting www.macysjobs.com from a mobile device.

“Increasing accessibility of opportunities expands the candidate application pool  and earns recruiters an optimal offering of qualitative and quantitative candidates,” Jay Larbes, senior director of Technology at Sanger Eby, said. “Today’s workforce is comprised of desktop users, tablet users, and mobile users. Taleo is an incredibly powerful system, but it’s built for broadband; this solution integrates seamlessly with the existing Taleo experience, expanding the offerings to users that are as diverse as their mediums.”

The Taleo solution includes:

  • A specific mobile-friendly application flow that removes obstacles in the application process that formerly made it impossible to complete a job application via mobile device
  • A mobile-friendly comprehensive job search that makes it easy for potential hires to interact with companies

The system is currently available for Taleo, though may be adapted for other talent management systems in the future.
