intuit payrollSmall-business payroll provider Intuit has announced the release of a new payroll app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch that removes the need for spreadsheets and mental math when determining appropriate pay and tax deductions. The new software, dubbed Snap Payroll, lets employers quickly calculate paychecks, hastening payment to employees. The tool is regularly updated with the latest tax rates to remove the obstacle of manual tax calculation and the threat of payroll penalties due to inaccuracies.

Snap Payroll simplifies paycheck creation, requiring employers only to enter hours worked and pay rate before automatically generating the proper amount owed and maintaining a paycheck history for future reference. The app also contains all federal and state tax withholding forms.

“At Intuit, we develop products by discovering customers’ unmet, real-world problems and work to solve them in innovative ways,” said Ginny Lee, senior vice president and general manager of Intuit’s Employee Management Solution division. “Snap Payroll is the perfect example of this. It’s a free app that will generate delight and enduring value for small businesses with very specific payroll needs.”

The app is available from the Apple App Store and currently supports the following states: Alaska, California, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming. More states will be included in the near future. To learn more about Snap Payroll visit SnapPayroll.com.
