Recruiter.com’s Recruiter Hall of Fame recognizes the skilled talent acquisition professionals who work tirelessly on the Recruiter.com Job Market Platform to connect great companies with the top-tier candidates they need.

Today’s Honoree: Sandy Patta, Account Manager, iPlace

“We are not a staffing agency,” declares Sandy Patta, an account manager at iPlace.

Not that there’s anything wrong with staffing. It’s just that iPlace has a singular focus on its one true goal: recruiting done right.

To that end, iPlace has more than 500 employees whose sole purpose is to recruit and source. That’s it. That’s all they do. And it works.

“We strive for recruiting, and that’s where we excel,” Patta says. “Most of our clients prefer iPlace because we stick to only recruiting. We don’t divert from our main objective.”

iPlace is already a top US recruiting firm, and it’s aiming to grow even further in the coming years, with a goal of reaching 10,000 employees by 2025.

“We’re aiming for the top,” Patta says, and if his own efforts on the Recruiter.com Job Market Platform are any indication, iPlace will certain reach the pinnacle. In just his first two months on Recruiter.com, Patta had already made six placements.

Sandy Patta“It’s all teamwork, to be honest,” Patta says of his success. That means teamwork between himself, the recruiters in his firm, and the staff of Recruiter.com. “There’s definitely a good coordination between my team and Recruiter.com’s team. We have a very good understanding. If I need anything, I just drop them a quick email and I get a response in a few minutes. That’s my key to success. When I get my feedback so fast, I can pass it on to my operations team, and that gives them a clear understanding of the candidate they need and what the client is exactly looking for.”

While iPlace is an efficient and effective operation, Patta knows that recruiting takes hard work — and a lot of perseverance.

“Recruiting is not easy,” he says. “You should be able to take rejections. There are a lot of candidates who might not go through. You just cannot give up hope. You have to keep pushing every single day, and eventually, you will break through. That’s when your success starts. Just keep pushing until you get there.”

Despite the difficulty, Patta has no trouble keeping at it to find that success — even if recruiting wasn’t necessarily where he saw himself at first.

“Recruiting wasn’t on my bucket list, to be honest, but I like the fact that there’s something new everyday,” he says. “That’s what has really intrigued me: meeting different people, getting to know more about all kinds of things. I wake up every morning and think, ‘What’s today going to hold for me?’ So that’s why I love it.”
