Ricoh.com logo Global technology company Ricoh’s American branch has detailed its new portfolio of mobile productivity services including mobile printing, scanning, document storage, and collaboration among other features. Ricoh Mobile Worker Services is designed to directly address the challenges of mobile workers while attempting to access, store, scan, and print data stored at a home office. The new capabilities are aimed at the growing market of workers participating in the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) movement.

“Although we’re firmly in the BYOD age, organizations are still struggling to reap mobile devices’ full potential as business tools,” said Dominic Pontrelli, senior vice president of Business Development for Ricoh Americas Corporation. “With Ricoh Mobile Worker Services, we’ll help our customers realize this huge potential, giving mobile workers the right business information at the right time whether they’re at home, on the road, at customer sites or moving around the workplace. The goal is a tailored business information solution that helps mobile workers be more productive, and work securely.”

Technology solutions utilized by Ricoh Mobile Worker Services include:

• Ricoh HotSpot mobile printing: an easy way for mobile workers to print documents from any Internet-enabled device without the need for additional downloads or specific network access.

• The Ricoh DocumentMall: a cloud-based content management service letting users capture, store, manage, share, and collaborate on documents from any Internet-enabled device.

• HotSpot Printing App: an app that locates the closest HotSpot-enabled public printer and allows users to set such devices as a default printer.
