flipping magazine pageSuccessful, high-achieving women have more than their credentials in common, and an upcoming women’s event in New York City plans to “spill the beans” when it comes to the secrets behind working women.

The Truth Behind Our Titles™ – Strength, Resilience and Hope for the Professional Journey is a movement founded by Michelle Tenzyk— a veteran recruitment and HR expert of East Tenth Group—that is “catching momentum in New York and across the country.”

The “truth-telling” event will be held Oct. 1, 2014 at the 3 West Club in New York City, and will feature six professional women who will discuss the adversities of pursuing their careers.

The new movement is dedicated to shifting the belief that in order to be professionally successful people must mask personal difficulties. Next month’s inaugural event will offer attendees a “life-line of hope” as the panel of speakers offer practical strategies, constructive help and options for facing adversities while navigating the high-pressure waters of life’s professional journeys.

“For many years I have been thinking about corporate and professional women and the increasingly difficult paths we have forged for ourselves by ‘leaning in’ just a bit too far… Our event is designed to help women, and all professionals, find new approaches to eliminate “overwhelm” and realize their own unique potential,” Tenzky said. “We believe you can empower yourself through others and consider changes for your own lives.”

Featured speakers include:

  • Michelle Tenzyk, Founder of The Truth Behind Our Titles™ and owner of East Tenth Group
  • Kelley Black, Founder and CEO of Balancing the Executive Life ™
  • Jennifer Brooks, Former President of The Scienomics Group, an Omnicom Group Company
  • Tracy Davidson, News Anchor at NBC News 10, Philadelphia
  • Nikki Johnson-Huston, Esq., Attorney and Founder of Law Office of Nikki Johnson-Huston, LLC
  • Wendy Samuelson, Esq., Partner at Samuelson Hause & Samuelson, LLP
  • Susan Rocco (moderator), Founder and Host of Women to Watch

“We are thrilled to be presenting the first live event for The Truth Behind Our Titles ™ Movement,” Tenzyk added. “I hope every high-achieving professional will join us for this transformational event.”
