ultimate payroll softwareUltimate Software, provider of cloud-based people management solutions, has announced the availability of an extended version of UltiPro to all of its SaaS customers. With the new release comes expanded global HCM capabilities, increased payroll processing speed for large organizations, and a more configurable talent management offering for improved business intelligence and employee performance management.

HCM enhancements new to the spring 2012 release focus on broader self-service options, configurable business processes for basic information changes, and standard new-hire web services.

Payroll performance for large organizations has been given a speed boost of 600 percent for payrolls of at least 100,000 employees. Time management performance has also been improved with payroll processing data import speeds up to 90 percent faster than earlier versions.

New talent management configurability enhancements include new talent assessment options that allow for performance assessments to be based on real contributions and impact rather than numerical scales. For example, companies can use key terms, goals, and other measures to create custom performance management assessments based on their needs. Managers and employees may now also add additional commentary to a review beyond its standard content. Finally, UltiPro Succession Management now provides visual employee comparison data that includes skills, experience, assessments, and other relevant information.

The spring release also includes added delivered reports and analytics for expanded business intelligence. Enhancements include new standard total compensation statements, predictive analytics, and new reports and analytics for succession management, career development, talent assessment, and global HR.

“We continue to see organizations with more complex, global needs and larger employee populations choosing Ultimate’s solutions,” said Cecile Alper-Leroux, vice president of product strategy and development at Ultimate. “Across all of them, the common theme is a focus on people — more streamlined administration, increased visibility into data, more personalized employee performance management. These requirements are at the center of our Spring 2012 release, as we expand our capabilities for supporting large, complex organizations comprised of people working around the world.”
