LinkedIn Releases Two New Recruiting Products at Talent Connect 2013

linkedin logo As the largest professional networking site, LinkedIn is taking the recruitment world by storm. During its recent 2013 Talent Connect Conference, the social media site introduced two new recruiting products: Recruiter Mobile and Work With Us.

Recruiter Mobile helps mobilize the recruitment process as recruiters will now have the option of sourcing and contacting candidates on the go when recruiting with LinkedIn. Using the new app, recruiters can:

  • Search for candidates
  • Connect with candidates via Inmail, call, text or email
  • Track updates on job openings and hiring manager reviews
  • Keep up with candidate and team activity regardless of location
  • Easily forward potential candidates to hiring managers

The second new product, Work With Us, displays job ads alongside members’ profiles. For example, if someone were looking at a Google software engineer employee’s LinkedIn profile, Google can now have sponsored job openings appear alongside that employee’s profile. The job ads are personalized to each employee’s job title/role, giving companies more visibility with job seekers as they quickly and easily discover available positions.

By using the new tool, companies can engage active and passive candidates as they interact with employees on LinkedIn; feature their most relevant jobs; and reach top talent.

According to LinkedIn, around 33 percent of its members visit the site from a mobile device and more than 30 percent of LinkedIn job views come from mobile devices. The new additions aim to further mobilize both the recruiting and job seeking process, allowing candidates to apply on the go and recruiters to respond in the same manner.
