No one understands the talent market like the recruiters, HR professionals, and talent acquisition experts working on the front lines. Every month, Recruiter.com surveys its network of 28,000+ independent recruiting and talent acquisition specialists to better understand the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
At 3.7, recruiter sentiment dipped slightly in April. While the majority of recruiters still feel the job market is getting hotter, a surge of in-person and hybrid roles is making it a little harder to find talent.
Recruiters report that a plurality of the roles they're working on (42.1 percent) are in-person roles. This may indicate companies are interested in returning to pre-pandemic work arrangements in the near future, or it may indicate that most of the hiring is now taking place in industries that require in-person work. Accordingly, candidates now prioritize compensation above all else by a 9 percent margin.
