Talent Warriors Infographic section Jobs and career community site Glassdoor recently revealed the winners of its first-ever Glassdoor Talent Warrior Awards, a list recognizing the 10 most innovative social recruiters. The awards honor recruiting and HR industry leaders for excellence in social recruiting in the areas of hiring and promoting their company’s employment brand.

How were winners selected?

Winners were determined in a three-step process:

1. “Warriors” have to be nominated, either by themselves or a peer.

2. Nominees must complete a brief online questionnaire made up of quantitative and qualitative questions to help assess the individual’s social recruiting efforts.

3. Winners were determined by the Glassdoor Social Leaders Panel of Judges who evaluated nominees on their approach to social recruiting and how they use social media to help promote their company’s employment brand and support hiring efforts.

The 2013 Talent Warriors, selected from among the more than 300 nominees, are:

  • Arie Ball, VP Talent Acquisition, Sodexo
  • Carrie Corbin, Associate Director, Talent Attraction, AT&T
  • Carolyn Eiseman, Director, Employer Brand, Enterprise Rent-A-Car
  • Steve Fogarty, Sr. Manager, Employer Branding & Digital Recruiting, Adidas Group
  • Chris Hoyt, Global Talent Engagement & Marketing Leader, Pepsico
  • Jeremy Langhans, Manager, Global Talent Acquisition, Expedia
  • Chrystal Moore, Senior Recruiter, Philips Healthcare
  • Shannon Smedstad, HR Social Media & Employer Brand Leader, GEICO
  • Melissa Smith, Candidate Developer, Progressive Insurance
  • Will Staney, Director of Recruiting, SuccessFactors

With a mission to help employers and employees make more informed decisions about who they work with, Glassdoor created this list “to highlight recruiting and HR professionals who shine above the rest in order to show job seekers who they want to hear from, and show other HR and recruiting folks what they can learn from those at the top of the field.”
