Electronic drafters create schematics, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and circuit board assembly diagrams that are used in the development, installation and repair of electronics. They may confer with engineers other trade professionals regarding the requirements and specifications needed for the drawings, and work with digital and hard copy sources to ensure drawing accuracy. Additionally, these professionals may serve a supervisory role in the design, manufacture and testing of printed circuit boards. Familiarity with computer-aided design software and electronic circuitry may be requirements for this position.
