These teachers provide instruction for occupations that do not require a college degree, such as X-ray technicians, auto mechan ...
ics, welders and cosmetologists. They also provide remedial education for school dropouts, or help students to prepare for enrolling in a 4-year degree program.

Other teachers help people update their job skills as part of a continuing education program. Many vocational teachers draw on their work experience and some have degrees, licenses or certificates in their field.
